MINNEAPOLIS, June 9, 2009 – www.newboundary.com – New Boundary Technologies®, a pioneer in remote monitoring and control software, today announced a technology partnership with Digi International (NASDAQ: DGII), the leader in device networking for business. Under terms of the agreement, New Boundary Technologies serves as an iDigi™ application partner and has developed TankVista™ (www.tankvista.com), a cloud-based Internet service for monitoring and reporting the conditions of commercial storage tanks and containers. TankVista™ integrates seamlessly with iDigi™ Tank, a wireless M2M solutions bundle optimized for tank monitoring. iDigi™ Tank dramatically speeds time to market of tank monitoring solutions by delivering the hardware, hosted software and services needed to quickly and easily connect remote tank assets. TankVista™ collects and aggregates the raw data from the sensors in the iDigi™ Tank system and converts it into actionable information that companies can use to drive new efficiencies in storage tank management and overall operations. TankVista™ features a Rich Internet Application (RIA) web management console that delivers a highly fluid and responsive management experience in an intuitive, easy-to-use interface. Mapping integration allows users to visualize tank locations and conditions and quickly identify tanks in need of service or some other action. In addition, TankVista™ automatically alerts designated personnel when storage tank conditions reach defined thresholds for capacity, temperature, humidity, pressure, or other designated parameters being monitored. TankVista™ delivers real-time information on tank conditions and maintains a history of tank conditions for operational analysis and reporting requirements. “New Boundary Technologies was an early pioneer in the development of remote monitoring and control software,” said Kim Pearson, CEO of New Boundary Technologies. “Our partnership with Digi enables us to deliver a monitoring and alerting service for tank management that supports a wide range of sensors communicating on wired and wireless networks. Working with a single vendor for all of the communications components for the service makes it extremely easy to deliver the information customers need to manage their storage tanks for maximum efficiency and safety.” TankVista™ is the newest Internet-based remote and mobile asset monitoring and control service from New Boundary Technologies. Powered by the company’s innovative data acquisition and analysis technology, TankVista™ is an off-the-shelf, subscription-based Web service. TankVista’s implementation of leading-edge technologies ensures the best user experience, lowest user cost, and greatest adaptability to the future demands of the tank monitoring industry. In addition to TankVista™, New Boundary Technologies also offers FleetVista™, a subscription-based service for GPS tracking and management of private vehicle fleets. “We’re excited to have New Boundary Technologies as our first iDigi application partner,” said Larry Kraft, senior vice president of global sales and marketing, Digi International. “Our iDigi Platform makes wirelessly connecting storage tanks and other remote assets really easy so providers like New Boundary Technologies can focus on their core business.” About Digi International |
